If you’ve always loved sports movies or even flicks of ‘The Fast and the Furious’ genre, you would have made your acquaintance with radar guns somewhere along the line. The reason for its growing popularity is that it captures one of those things in life that most people cannot do without: speed.

However, there are two types of these guns that are normally used in everyday life, although the context in which they’re used in is very different. One type is used to detect the speed limit of vehicles on the freeways, used by those whose duty is to serve and protect.

Yes, these are police radar guns that come in three versions: mounted on the vehicle, hand-held or static as in placed at particular parts of the highway. The technology is so advanced these days that it isn’t possible for the machine to make any errors regardless of whether these vehicles are far away or close by.

Obviously, this is done in the best interests of the public, to safeguard the good drivers from those who are driving under the influence or those who are just aggressively dangerous drivers.

On the other hand, sports radar guns are used for several sports such as tennis, soccer, baseball and so on and so forth, and are used to read the speed of the ball, and on which a large part of the game depends on.
One way or another, the radar gun is here to stay!
